Private Leash Training
Serving Easton MD, Oxford, St Michaels
Calm, connected walks without pulling, lunging, or frustration
Walks should feel pleasant, not stressful.
If your dog pulls, lunges, zigzags, or reacts to every distraction, even short outings can become exhausting.
If you’re feeling frustrated or avoiding walks altogether, you’ve got plenty of company. Loose-leash walking is a skill—and like any skill, it can be taught. With clear structure and thoughtful practice, walks can become calmer, safer, and far more enjoyable for both of you.
What We’ll Work On
Building loose-leash foundations
Clear leash-handling skills
Reducing pulling and zigzagging
Strengthening focus to navigate other people and dogs calmly
Managing surprises and challenging environments
Increasing safety and confidence on everyday walks
How It Works
Leash training begins at home, where we teach new skills in a calm, low-distraction environment.
Once you and your dog feel confident with the foundations, we gradually transition into real-life settings, building success step by step.

What Clients Say
“In just a few sessions, Lisa showed us how to better manage the leash and apply key techniques to focus on us rather than other dogs, which has significantly improved our walk experience.” — Helene
“She gave us a myriad of supplies and activities and games to help Tucker with his leash manners and polite greetings, as well as advice for his general happiness, and we really see a difference.”—Emma
“Our walks are much better. And she is not pulling much at all, just walking nicely on a loose leash.”
