Private Adolescent Dog Training
Serving Easton MD, Oxford, St Michaels
Navigating the “Terrible Teens” with Clarity and Structure
From 6 months up to 24 months of age
Adolescence is a commonly misunderstood stage of development. Nice responses that once felt solid may suddenly fall apart. Focus disappears. Impulses rule. Your teen may seem to forget everything they’ve learned.
If you’re feeling frustrated, discouraged, or think it’s your fault, please understand: This isn’t defiance or “blowing you off.” It’s normal. The teenage brain is still developing, along with the body.
Young, immature dogs benefit greatly from more clarity, consistency, and meeting more genetic needs. Then they can learn to slow down, calm down, and think—to make better behavior choices.
Private adolescent training provides calm, steady support as your growing pup navigates hormonal changes, shifting motivations, and increased independence — without relying on punishment (corrections) or force.
Together, we strengthen focus, rebuild reliability, and help your teen make thoughtful, regulated choices in real-life settings.
